Historian's lecture: "Life in Silver Age Petersburg. Between the Tower and the Stray Dog cellar"

Petersburg in the early 20th century, between two landmark places of the Silver Age: Vyacheslav Ivanov's apartment on Tavricheskaya Street, known as the Tower, and the artistic cellar of the Stray Dog. The lecture tells the stories of Alexander Blok, Anna Akhmatova, Nikolai Gumilev, Mikhail Kuzmin, Olga Sudeikina, and Vladimir Mayakovsky: the meetings, friendships, conflicts, and events that unfolded between these two worlds.

The talk draws on diaries, memoirs, and poems, showing the Silver Age through the real lives of its heroes.
